At Lexis Prep, our daily schedules are specifically designed to meet student needs. Subjects are taught in "bite-size" pieces, ensuring proper absorption and comprehension of the material. And, we provide structured breaks that allow students to recharge and refocus.

Home Assignments

Homework should not be a substitute for classroom instruction; rather it is a supplement to daily lessons. We have found that if it is not properly administered, too much homework will only frustrate the student and burden their family. Our instructors choose to carefully manage your child's assignments, not pile them on.

Core Curriculum

Lexis Prep curriculum encompasses all of the traditional academic subjects as well as physical education, art, music, technology and drama productions. Each student must demonstrate subject mastery through frequent reviews of learned concepts before they move on to the next lesson. This measured repetition enables your child to secure a solid grasp of subject matter, as well as experience success when tackling new concepts.

Methodology

At Lexis Prep, we place great emphasis on daily planning, strategies to improve organizational and study skill, homework management and guided support for long-term projects. Using assessment to guide learning, our instructors break down large assignments into “doable” steps, presenting subject matter through hands-on activities and giving students a choice as to how they can best demonstrate mastery.
