Full-Strength Academics

Teaching to learning challenges doesn’t mean that academics are compromised in any way. Lexis Preparatory School’s base curriculum emphasizes individualized instruction in core subjects, and includes science, social studies, physical education and the arts. Supplemental materials have been carefully researched to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles. Lexis Prep teaches the same material as traditional schools, but in ways that really resonate with students.

Lexis After School

Services include 1-1 tutoring in all areas, coaching in study skills, an After School Homework Club and a comprehensive suite of after-school programs offering special clubs and recreational activities. Designed for our own students and those from neighboring schools, this program offers structured homework assistance with a Lexis Prep teacher and fun, recreational activities.

Learning Curve Tutoring

Individualized tutoring in reading, math, spelling and writing. Specially trained teachers work with pre-reading skills and reading deficits.

Mini-courses

6-week programs for additional help. The topics vary in a wide range of study and organizational skills. They include, but are not limited to Developmental Writing in preparation of standardized tests and SSAT-specific testing courses.
